Tribute

Living in the Noosa Hinterland has enabled Jan to enjoy a freedom for the bush lands, admire its beauty, and to appreciate and pay tribute to the ethnic people who originally cared for the land.

The fun installation "Robes de Theatre" at the Noosa Arts Theatre expressed the Carnivale Theme and was enjoyed by passing traffic and theatre goers alike.

The "re-used" rusted wire installation was completed during my residency at "Fourwinds Atelier" France.

Shall We Dance

How can we maintain our individuality under the impact of modern demands? This installation shows the sometimes human peculiarity of unknowingly following the crowd, it is presented as a humorous view of ourselves- when we occasionally find ourselves heading for nowhere.

Timecatchers

A silhouette figurative installation. The line appearing as a profile of transparency. A contour of a figure (perhaps me) attempting to catch time

Boxes of Time and Space

Can we express time and space? Man has smaller and smaller, less and less or more and more?

What have we done?

A site specific installation that address's the close relationship between man and the sea. What have we done portrays a sense of fear, fleeing falling or climbing. It is edgy disturbing and asks the viewer a variety of possible of environmental questions

Whisperings of Revolution

This story is not pretty. What has man done with his machines, chains and the atmospheric change in temperature and climate? Trees contain "junk" DNA a term used to describe parts of DNA strands (Genome) that have no apparent function - could it possibility be a source of new coding for the future? Nobody knows how or why this is so.
